¿QUÉ TE LLEVÓ A LAS ARTES?

El destino.

Nunca imagine que el camino me alejara tanto de mis sueños y que de repente me encontrara cumpliéndolos.

Siendo niña aun, mi padre me enseñó a observar la vida, la soledad y la capacidad de escuchar la naturaleza e incluso el latido de tu corazón sería la gran maestra. Mis sentidos se abrieron a la maravilla de la vida. Habíamos experimentado mis hermanos y yo desde muy temprano la música y la pintura que apasionaban a mi padre. Y la fascinación de mi madre era la literatura. Nuestra infancia no fue fácil, hasta que decidí dedicarme a las Artes Plásticas en secreto, ya que no tenía la aprobación de mis padres. Estudié otras dos carreras que me alejaron en absoluto del arte. Hasta que un dia me invitaron a formar parte del Ballet Municipal, tardé un año en decidirme y cuando estuve allí, descubrí el taller de pintura, colgada de la ventana quede asombrada, entonces mi vida cambió desde aquel dia. Nunca llegué al salón de ballet, ahora era feliz, tuve la fortuna de tener grandes maestros y la tarea real de dedicarme al arte apenas comenzaba.

¿QUÉ HA SIGNIFICADO DEDICARSE A LAS ARTES PLÁSTICAS, AL DIBUJO, LA PINTURA Y LA ESCULTURA?

Siendo las artes plásticas como materia muy amplia y el dibujo, base fundamental de toda obra plástica. Fui desarrollando cada una de sus ramas, las cuales me atrapaban de igual manera por lo apasionante de su ejecución, es por esto que, llegué a pensar que la pintura también podría plasmar la fuerza que emana la escultura, por ejemplo, (opinión personal), sin que está dejara de ser pintura, sabía que era posible pero hasta entonces no lo conocía, mis ansias de mostrar toda la potencia de la forma y el color crecían. No pasaba nada entre mi persona y la pintura, hasta que en una clase magistral, el maestro ejecutó de manera tan sorprendente con espátula sobre el lienzo, una magnífica obra que me cautivó, entonces comenzó el romance. Desde entonces me dedico con mayor fuerza a la pintura sin dejar de lado mi amor por la escultura, la cerámica o el grabado, que me ayudan a comprender el dibujo y todas sus posibilidades. Cada una complementa mi capacidad de sorprenderme, de soñar y crear cosas nuevas.

¿QUÉ TE GUSTARÍA DAR A CONOCER SOBRE TI Y TUS OBRAS?

Considero que cada artista tiene su propio lenguaje, por lo tanto, el mensaje varía según el cómo percibimos nuestra realidad. Vivimos en un mundo acelerado, materialista, artificialmente mercantilizado. ¿Quién se detiene en el tiempo para ver el cielo azul? Nos enceguecen las ciudades convulsionadas; si bien el arte cumple una suerte de terapia, puede también descubrir del observador su subconsciente, sus emociones, sentimientos ocultos, descubiertas sus dudas, alegrías, o verse a sí mismo, a la vez que puede describir nuestra realidad, sea o no positiva, nuestra realidad, ese es mi lenguaje. Y qué logro mayor que la obra sea transcendental con un lenguaje universal, el cual se cultiva en el descubrimiento propio del alma.

¿CONSIDERAS QUE EL ARTE PUEDE IMPULSAR TRANSFORMACIONES?

… el arte es un elemento fundamental en la vida del hombre para la transformación personal social, como terapia o como reflexión sobre nuestra existencia, aquí en la tierra o fuera de ella. Mediante ella trasmitimos la realidad y nuestra interpretación de la realidad, en el cual el observador tiene la misión de hacer su propia lectura, que puede diferir en mucho al real mensaje del artista, eso es absolutamente innegable; la obra de arte llega a ser aquello que vemos e ignoramos o simplemente no queremos ver, en síntesis el arte como medio de comunicación es vital. Al mismo tiempo que descubre en nuestro interior, la necesidad de transformar la idea de ver el mundo siendo la voz de los que callan, por ejemplo, porque a través de ella una sociedad entera puede reflexionar sobre temas que afligen hoy en dia a la humanidad. Una forma, un color, pueden cambiar tu percepción de la vida, es una maravilla.

¿QUÉ ELEMENTOS DENTRO DE TU OBRA BUSCAN ACTIVAR PROCESOS REFLEXIVOS?

No hay un elemento recurrente en mi obra. Todo está en la composición y en las características de la forma y el color, cada obra, cada serie de obras, tiene un mensaje particular, como el pensamiento y los sentimientos que difieren de un dia a otro.

HOW COME YOU ARRIVE TO THE ARTS?

The Destiny.

I would have never imagined that the road would take me so far away from my dreams and that I would suddenly find myself fulfilling them.

Being still a girl, my father taught me to observe life, loneliness and the ability to listen to nature and even the beat of my heart (meditate) that would be my great teacher. My senses were opened to the wonder of life. My brothers and I from an early age had experienced music and painting, which were the things that fascinated my father and the fascination of my mother was literature. Our childhood was not easy, until I decided to dedicate myself to the Plastic Arts in secret, since I did not have the approval of my parents. I studied two careers that distanced me from art at all; until one day I was invited to take part of the Municipal Ballet, took a year to decide and when I was there, I discovered a painting workshop, hung from the window was amazed, then my life changed from that day. I would never arrived at the ballet hall, I discovered happiness in painting and I was so lucky to have great masters and the real task of dedicating myself to art was just beginning.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO DEDICATE TO PLASTIC ARTS, DRAWING,

PAINTING AND SCULPTURE?

Being the plastic arts as a very broad subject and drawing, the fundamental basis of all plastic works; I developed each of its branches, which caught me in the same way because of the passion of its execution, that's why I came to think that the painting could also reflect the force that emanates the sculpture, without it being paint, I knew it possible but until then I did not know it, my desire to show all the power of the form and the color grew. Nothing happened between me and the painting, until in a master class, the master executed so surprisingly with spatula on the canvas, a magnificent work that captivated me, then the romance began, since that day I dedicate myself more strongly to painting without denying my love to sculpture, ceramics or printmaking, which help me understand the drawing and all its possibilities. Each one complements my ability to surprise myself, dream and create new things.

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE WITH PEOPLE ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR WORK?

I consider that each artist has its own language, therefore, the message varies according to how we perceive our reality. We live in a fast-paced, materialistic, artificially commodified world. Who stops in time to see the blue sky? We are blinded by the convulsed cities; although art fulfills a kind of therapy, it can also discover the subconscious, its emotions, hidden feelings, discover its doubts, joys, or see itself, while at the same time it can describe our reality, whether or not it is positive, our reality, that is my language. And there is no greater achievement than work is transcendental with a universal language, which is cultivated in the discovery of the soul itself.

DO YOU CONSIDER THAT ART CAN PROPEL TRANSFORMATIONS?

... Art is a fundamental element in humanity´s life for personal and social transformation, as a therapy or as a thoguht on our existence, here on earth or outside it. Through it we transmit reality and our interpretation of reality, in which the observer has the mission to do his own reading, which can differ greatly from the real message of the artist, that is absolutely undeniable; the work of art becomes what we see and ignore or simply do not want to see, it means, that art is a vital communication media. At the same time that it discovers in our interior, the need to transform the idea of seeing the world being the voice of those who are quiet, because through it a whole society can think over issues that worry to humanity today. One form, one color, could change your perception of life, it's magical.

WHAT ELEMENTS WITHIN YOUR WORK ACTIVATE REFLEXIVE PROCESSES?

There is not a recurring element in my work. Everything is in the composition and the characteristics of the form and color, each work, each series of works, contains a particular message, such as thought and feelings that differ from one day to another.
